PRESIDENT AND CEO OF ENLIGHTENED, INC., ANTWANYE FORD, APPOINTED CHAIR OF WORKFORCE INVESTMENT COUNCIL
WASHINGTON (JANUARY 2018): Antwanye Ford, President and CEO of Enlightened, Inc., was appointed by the District of Columbia’s (DC) Mayor Muriel Bowser as the Chairman of the Workforce Investment Council (WIC) in conjunction with Todd Lang as the Executive Director.

The WIC is a private-sector led board responsible for advising the Mayor, Council, and DC Government regarding the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an integrated and effective workforce development system.
Being a native Washingtonian, Ford has demonstrated a tremendous passion and commitment to the DC community to ensure that residents have the resources needed to support their families through lucrative jobs. Having the same passion and commitment, Executive Director Lang joins the WIC with 15 years of experience managing workforce recruitment, training, and economic development initiatives for cities and states. Additionally, for eight years, Lang lead programs dedicated to empowering workers and entrepreneurs in low-income and underserved populations.

Growing up as a kid in a socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhood in Ward Five, like many of my peers, honors such as this were unimaginable.
