ENLIGHTENED AWARDED CONTRACT WITH THE BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS TO PERFORM FISMA ASSESSMENTS

WASHINGTON (SEPTEMBER 25): Enlightened, Inc., an INC. 500 and Inner City 100 company, announced today it has been awarded a contract with the US Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) to conduct FISMA security assessments based upon National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 standards. The assessments review security of three critical BLS computer systems, measuring them against recent guidelines deriving from the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).

Enlightened was selected to perform this review based on their past performance and expertise in FISMA review projects. Enlightened has developed an assessment methodology that addresses personnel security, physical access controls, technical and functional application controls, and hardware and firmware.
