For the Department of the Navy, Enlightened facilitated the day-to-day operations and support of the long-term goals of the Navy Utilities GIS program. Enlightened completed the following GIS tasks:
- GIS IV&V and Engineering Support providing programmatic and technical support for managing, planning and coordinating all aspects of Utilities GIS
- Utilities GIS Data Modeling Support including developing the following physical and logical data models:
- Electric Data Model
- Gas Data Model
- Wastewater Data Model
- Steam Data Model
- Enterprise System Architecture Support consisting of System Architecture Assessment and Design Workshops
- Enterprise Implementation Support
- Project Management Support throughout the lifecycle of the initiative

Outcome/Value/Benefit to Customer |
Through Enlightened’s efforts, the Navy was able to implement and deploy a corporate IT utilities management system, CIRCUITS, with an enterprise solution that integrated geospatial resources and services through a service-oriented architecture. This initiative not only implemented stringent geospatial requirements but it also ensured better ties to existing facilities management systems, financials, and control systems.
