Nature and Scope of Work |
CSOSA is a federal agency responsible for pretrial services and adult parole, probation, and supervised release of offenders in the District of Columbia. CSOSA interacts with 13 other law agencies within DC, all with different computer and database systems. SMART is the computer tracking system central to CSOSA activities. We were tasked with operating and maintaining SMART version 3.0 and in deploying version 3.1. |
Description of Products and Services Provided to Customer |
- Supported requirements analysis, use case development, design sessions, implementation, and software deployment
- Maintained CSOSA enterprise SMART system to implement software enhancements, bug fixes and new business processes
- Provided software testing support services to examine the viability, load, and stress on the SMART enterprise application

Outcome/Value/Benefit to Customer |
CSOSA reaps the benefits of real-time connections to its constituent agency systems. They also have a far more stable, secure and capable system in their hands to track and control convicted offenders through the different channels of rehabilitation. And these improvements have a direct effect on the state of public safety in the District. |
